Hilarious. Now while there are some parents who are a little “involved” (like myself!) I’d say the worst offenders are the coaches.
At District Cup a few weeks ago, the following happened:
1. First game: Coach is yelling, loudly, at his players and at he CR and the far AR. At the end of the game he walks out onto the pitch, waving his finger at them and yelling, aggressively.
2. Second game: different coach, gets ejected by the CR within 5 minutes for yelling at the CR.
This was U10 playing at Bronze level!!
Frequently the coaches set the tone for parents. If the coach abuses the ref you can bet your butt the parents are going to as well.

Yes, coaches’ behavior has a big impact. Sad to hear about your experience at District Cup, Andrew. It’s relatively rare but still happens too often, unfortunately. I’m surprised the first CR didn’t deal with that coach though.
